STG Design is seeking a Communications & Marketing Coordinator to join our team. We are looking for someone who understands how brand strategy, social media engagement, and thoughtful storytelling work together to position a design firm for success. This role is ideal for a marketing professional who is confident developing digital content and producing high-quality visual and graphic assets that bring the firm’s brand, projects, and culture to life. The position also provides targeted support to proposal pursuits, ensuring consistent messaging and brand alignment. The right candidate brings both strategic thinking and hands-on execution, thrives in a collaborative studio environment, and understands the pace and evolving demands of the A/E/C industry.
WHAT YOU’LL DO….
The Communications & Marketing Coordinator will focus on guiding firmwide marketing, brand, and communication initiatives, while also providing support throughout the project proposal process. This role reports to the Director of Marketing and works closely with principals, project teams, and the Director of Business Development to ensure STG Design’s work, culture, and expertise are communicated clearly and consistently. Depending on the day, responsibilities will include:
Social Media, Digital Communications, & Public Relations
- Develop and maintain a social media strategy aligned with firm goals
- Create and curate content for multiple platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, company website, etc.), highlighting projects, people, and studio culture
- Design and produce graphic assets for social media, proposals, presentations, and internal communications, translating project photography and concepts into compelling visual content
- Maintain visual consistency, layout quality, and brand standards across all digital and print deliverables
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and peer firm activity to inform digital positioning
- Monitor performance and refine approach based on analytics and engagement
- Share marketing insights and updates with firm leadership
- Identify and secure media opportunities, including project features and thought leadership
Brand & Communications Strategy
- Maintain a consistent brand voice across proposals, communications, and digital platforms
- Translate complex architectural work into accessible, engaging narratives
- Collaborate with leadership to identify stories that reflect the firm’s values, culture, and impact
- Support business development efforts through clear, strategic messaging
Pursuits & Proposals
- Assist the proposal process from early pursuit strategy through final submission
- Help maintain proposal and marketing databases, templates, and content libraries
- As directed, partner with principals and project managers to define themes, positioning, and differentiation
- Ensure proposals reflect both technical excellence and design intent
- As directed, support interview preparation and presentation strategy as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
- Strong graphic design skills with demonstrated experience producing layouts, visual content, and branded marketing materials
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or communications
- 1-3 years of experience in the A/E/C industry
- Experience managing social media accounts, including content planning, posting, and performance tracking
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on graphic design and layout production (InDesign required)
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working with senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Photography and photography coordination experience preferred
- Familiarity with additional design tools, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and the Affinity Suite
- Experience with public-sector and government pursuits
- Familiarity with Deltek Vision or similar CRM systems
- Comfortable advising leadership on brand, messaging, and positioning
